marrying lydia

im bored so im trying to marry lydia, how do i do it, ive looked it up and they dont work, i have the amulet, ive tried talking to the maramal he only wants charity or to say about his beliefs. i talk to lydia and nothing regarding it. help

Although Lydia is in the PotentialMarriageFaction, she must be added to that faction manually with a console command addfac 19809 1 in order to enable the marriage dialogue.

+ This bug is fixed by version 1.5.24 of the Official Skyrim Patch.

Must wear Amulet of MARA to get dialogue working, but first talk to Marmamal at the Temple of Mara or at the Bee& Barb in Riften, you can buy Amulet from him too for 200 gold

Lydia becomes marriable only after the Breezehome has been purchased.

Hmm... If you have previously spoken about conditions of marriage with Maramal, have bought Breezehome and are carrying an Amulet of Mara, then store your amulet and buy another one from Maramal. If that does not work, then this is either a bug or a load order issue.

Have you previously talked with Maramal about conditions of marriage? He does not sell an amulet, if you haven't.

no unofficial patches and i found it, when i talk to him its about charity or the beliefs

I had that problem before and it was one of my mods that prevented it. It also messed up lots of things to do with Riften. Even if it's a mod that has nothing to do with Riften they do sometimes cause other glitches such as you are experiencing. Do a BOSS check and see if that helps. May tell you which mods are conflicting or need a cleaning with TES 5 EDIT.

Return to Maramal to tell him that you are interested in getting married at the Temple of Mara. He will be delighted and will announce that the wedding will take place the very next day; from dawn until dusk. Early the next morning your spouse will be waiting for you in the Temple of Mara.

P.S. What did you do to fix your earlier thing?
