dang, then i'm done with the game unfortunately, Companions was the last main quest I was making anyway, was fun to play. Will look forward to Elder Scrolls Online then
The unofficial patches fix a lot of stuff. I first installed them on an existing save and it helped straight away, so it's worth trying. Make sure you get all the patches for any DLC as well as the main one, and check that you have them in the correct load order (it says on the Nexus page what this should be)
