Me: Thank you, Miraak for feeding my magicka pool while I shoot you with lighting.
Miraak: You're welcome.
Lovecraftian Whack-a-mole made me chuckle. Great image.
I mean, I did relatively fine as an Argonian with non-buffed Leather armor, but I really owe my survival to the fact that my current Dovah is a walking stealth machine. 70 Sneak, an Enchanted Glass Bow and Orcish Arrows did the trick if I mostly stuck to sneak attacks, the Ebony Sword allowed me to whittle their health down suuuper patiently - provided I packed a ton of healing pots, which I usually do. I didn't have the heart to try Mehrunes' Razor on the Seekers, honestly. Didn't feel like trying to gank Chtulhu's distant cousins - it just seemed thematically inadvisable. XD
Lovecraftian whack-a-mole makes it sound like you're just standing there whacking on the seekers. Definitely not the best combat strategy.
I mostly tried to duck and weave, to land as many free hits as I could while using a shield or just plain old careful strafing to deny the squiddies any access to my squishy self. The Whack-a-Mole analogy is more a reference to this being a bit of a war of attrition and a test of patience.
Spellbreaker helped immensely.
Lurkers requires poison resistance(wich should be fine with an argonian) and some melee protection. I also noted that my conjoured minions made 0 dmg to lurkers, i dunno if they are just immune to conjured stuff or they died before reaching melee range.
Btw it all depends of difficulty lvl. If bashing a single lovercraftian wack-a-mole for 15 minutes and gulping gallons of healing potions is not fun (i doubt it's fun), you can just turn the difficulty down when you get to apocripha. The game is yours to have fun.
