How do I rid quests from my journal that I don't want to do?
My quest journal is full of quests that I don't to do and that bothers me a lot. Is there a mod that makes them dissapear from your journal? I don't want to use the console command setstage etc, because than I will have finished them.

After playing this game for just over 4400 hours I've learned to avoid activating those kinds of quests, i know how to avoid the Thieve's Guild Questline and still be able to get Ebern for the Main Questline

Is this what you mean?

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26660/?

I haven't tried it myself but it sounds like it will hide anything you're not interested in doing.. in fact, I might give it a go myself haha

Thanks for the tips guys. Unfortunately sometimes you go investigate a quest but it will turn out you have to steal stuff or kill someone you like/need, but argh, it will never dissapear from the questjournal. :p

You can't remove them, so just ignore them. Improve your ignore skill and you will be fine.

That's always the first skill I max out, pretty sure it's triple-Legendary on some characters.

Yes, the lack of an 'abandon quest' function seems a bit of an oversight on Bethesda's part. It's also annoying that you can't drop/store quest items such as dravin's bow, which I stumbled across and have yet to figure out what to do with..I know there's a mod for the quest items..and apaprently one for the quest themselves according to above poster, but I'm already at 12 mods, and I'm wary of running too many more. (I know that's a small number compared to some of you guys, but my computer is old and tired, and I see no replacment in the near future.)

Yeah it's annoying. Luckily quest items don't count as weight, otherwise it would be very inconvenient. I play skyrim on my laptop and indeed, if you can't handle that much modding, it's tricky to choose. Especially with so many useful gameplay mods.

Dravin's bow belongs to a farmer near Riften. (I could be more specific, but I prefer to hint rather than hand-hold, given the game already does that if you select the relevant quest (well, I assume there's a 'return Drevin's bow to Drevin' quest somewhere under misc, can't really remember).)

I prefer hints myself. What's the point of doing a quest if it leads you by the nose. I'll have to look but I don't remember finding the bow triggering a return bow quest else I'd have done it already. It's also possible that the particular NPC was killed by a vampire or dragon, so the quest didn't trigger. I remember stumbling across a farm outside Riften while fending off a dragon. Alvor in Riverwood met a similar fate, and last time I passed through there, his corpse was still lying on the pier behind his forge. lol

Some quest items. The Elder Scrolls are 20 each. At least they were prior to Dawnguard. Admittedly I haven't looked lately.

I've had the same problems and like others I just ignore them.

There is one though that really torques my cork though. I find a dead body (Liefner or something) and the miscelanious quest to notify his family comes up. It took me hours to find them and then it wouldn't give me the dialogue option to tell the wife he was dead. Whats up with that?

I currently have about twenty quests in my journal and if I happen to be in the area of one while exploring I activate it and complete it. Then go back to wandering Skyrim. For the most part I seldom even look at my jounal.
