However, to clear any confusion, you do not STREAM the game online; it doesn't work like Netflix. STEAM will download the game to yoru computer as a local permanent program.
As for "online requirements"; STEAM only requires you to have an online account to initially activate the game. Once activated, you can set STEAM to launch as an Offline Program, by setting it to "Offline Mode".
