DawnGuard. All are fun but DawnGuard changes the entire feel of Skyrim.

Really!? In my opinion it's one of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ story add-ons to any videogame and should be avoided. It actually quite aggravates me - there are so many glaring plotholes in that thing which almost ruin the main story and the writing is just aweful! I mean the first thing your initial vampire companions says is "it's good to be breathing fresh air again"!? DUDE, WHAT - VAMPIRE...BREATHING!?!? Ah man... and it gets only worse from there. Everything from there makes even less sense - why in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell would I a VAMPIRE HUNTER escort some vampire chick who has an ELDER SCROLL back to her father so he can take the elder scroll!? It makes no sense and it's just terrible!
(This is not meant to be offensive or hostile towards you, btw. - I just can't stand this addon no matter how much I try to like it.)
Dragonborn is pretty good, though. Decent writing which matches the original, the quests are alright and it's pretty awesome to see the morrowind environment in modern graphics.

Dragonborn without a doubt.

Dawnguard feels like it was rushed out to capitalise on the initial release, i mean you can only hover as a vampire, ooh scary!
Dawnguard feels like that Tarantino movie Dusk till Dawn. Except without Tarantino or his crazy style, just crap c grade action, badly scripted and poorly executed.

Agreed - that is the bad kind of B-Movie plot - the not funny kind of badness.

Dragonborn, duh.

Dragonborn has an entire new world to offer, it should be pretty obvious.

Dragonborn. It has a better story and a new place to discover. Dawnguard has way too many plotholes. Like, okay, she has been sealed into a tomb for a long time, but why would Serena trust a vampire hunter who also shows interest in her Elder Scroll to escort her? I could easily Fus do Rah her from some mountain and then take her Scroll.

Dr4G0nB0rn is by far better than Dragonborn in my opinion. Dawnguard is mediocre at best & Hearthfire is just a Sims 3 Simulator so 1/10 on that

At the time, she didn't know you were a Vampire Hunter. "The dawnguard would want me to kill you" thing, she could think that the Dawnguard is a group that are asking people to kill Vampires? She may of thought, but the DB may just be interested in learning her story. Plus, if it were Canon, the DB may of escorted her so he could see what the Dawnguard were facing entirely and find out where they were holed up. Just my opinion on what it could of been.

Now for my opinion on the matter. I play the XBox Skyrim which, I know has a CRAP ton of Bugs, can still be fun if you ignore them. I have Hearth and Dawnguard, and hoping to soon get Dragonborn. I like how they finally added a new storyline in Dawn and added more features to the game entirely. It may of only added a few extra locations and made Arrows craftable (which honestly should of been put in the original vanilla) and made becoming a Werewolf and Vampire (mainly Vamp) a good thing. Hearthfire was mainly only good for making your own Blacksmith, Enchanting, Storage and Cooking location. Kids are annoying as hell and bug you for gifts and so were only good for moving them to your house, and attempting to smother them to death. If it let you kill the Kids, then maybe it would of been A LOOTTT better, but yea.

Dragonborn looks very good, but the storyline does not seem that good. The first Dragonborn would have to be suposedly MUCH more stronger than the Current Dragonborn, as the current one had only just discovered his power, while the First DB would of had over like 300 years to gain power. Seems stupid how the current dragonborn would win. I know he has Mora on his side, who *SPOILERS* kills Miraak in the end, but still. On his own, the first DB would of kicked the living ♥♥♥♥ out of the current dragonborn. But hell, the current one is controlled by you, so of course Miraak gets his balls kicked out of his head.

Dawnguard adds better content.

Depends what you're looking for, Hearthfire gives you extra houses you build yourself and lets you adopt kids if that your thing, but if you're looking for actiion and adventure then what people have said above really

It wasn't an easy task to add something to the already huge Skyrim.

Dawnguard is full of plot holes (they should have allowed you to kill Serana on first meeting), but adds a lot of new features and i found both the Soul Cairn and the Forgotten Valley to be amazing, they were made with love and there's much to explore. Also Dawnguard gave you a choice, and all the community asked for more choieces.

Dragonborn features a poor main quest line, a dubious ending and everything feels half-explained, but Solstheim is full of unique location to explore, so they went on favoring curious players that want to look under every rock, and the island is created with love too.

Hearthfire was just a small thing about player housing, but the price was fair for that.

So basically in my opinion Skyrim DLCs are a good addition to the game, but they don't shine as other DLC they have made in the past (Shivering Isladns for example).

I would have to say Dragonborn. It adds a whole new region to explore in the game, over forty new locations, a main storyline with two other storylines that intersect it, and lots of other stuff.

I have not finished Dawnguard, but so far my opinion of it is lackluster. I like the Aetherium side quest, but the main Dawnguard storyline is annoying so far. It's the worst railroading in any TES game I've ever played. It's also morally awkward. If you're an evil character it's like "why did I join the Dawnguard?", and if you're a good character it's like "why am I being nice to vampires?" WTF?

He asked which was the best DLC in skyrim, not for a comparison between skyrim and oblivion.
I agree with you by the way, but its not what he asked. :tlove:
