Markarth in GREEN on the BannerS!!

Does anyone know why the banner in from of Markarth have Markarth wrote in bright neon green letters. It does not look right at all to me and really bugs me. I have never noticed it until recently. HELP PLZ!!! how do I get rid of this huge eye sore!!!

If I could chime in, I'm having the same problem. While I can understand the cause may be a mod conflict, I'm only just now having the same problem--I've had the same mod lineup for the past several months, and only now am I getting this weird bug.

Could mod order have anything to do with it, as well?

All this happening at once to multiple people means someone updated their mod. Find out which mod it is and inform the author AND comment on the mod in workshop and nexus. It's very difficult to tell the quality of a mod except by complaints in the comments. This may just be an innocent slip up by the author, but if there's a pattern to to the slip-ups then people will notice.

p.s. Yes, this implies you need to check out a mod and its users comments before using.

Oh Geez, now it's happening to me! I'm setting up for a new game, and have very few mods installed. My best guess is it's the Unofficial Hi Rez Texture Pack.

Anyway, I had Mod Organizer handle the unofficial patches instead of making them manual installs, and it corrected the problem. Same exact load order, so probably something with the BSAs.

I have this a well, only happened recently. No new mods added or other mods updated either, also I dont use the Hi-Rez Texture Packs. Something probably gone a little off somewhere but it only affects Markarth and I'm pretty much finished with the place. No game breaker though, I will just move on. Hideous though isnt it?

I think I mentioned this in another thread, but to the best of my understanding, the banners look like that in the base game but are made invisible. I believe the unofficial patches are supposed to 1) change them to a version without the green text and 2) make them visible, though somehow or other you don't always get "both" of these changes, so...

Thank you. At least I know now. Still not too much to fret over and I can ignore this little bit of uglyness in my otherwise good looking game. :)

I linked a mod earlier that you can install which just adds a texture for it which works perfectly :)

Yes you did and I thought to myself 'must go and get that' but with all the posts coming in regarding paid mods and trying to keep up with it all I totally forgot about it.

I believe the mod that's the problem is Open Cities. It is at least for me.
