Can you have 2 followers if one of them is Meeko?
Meeko, if you are unaware, is a dog that is found and recruited as a follower. http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Meeko[1] . Stray dogs can also be recruited, and I know that with a stray dog you are still allowed one more human follower. Is that the same with Meeko?

Hi! From what I've read, the answer is, "Yes!". If that is wrong, blame what I read before.

Thanks!

Hi! You're very welcome! Enjoy! I'm still looking for the dog. I know where to go, but I've not made it there yet. Hopefully my current character game won't become broken and I will get to have Meeko eventually.

If you cant find Meeko, or he is already dead, you can also buy Vigilance from the Markarth Stables for 500 gold. He's the same thing, just with a different name.

edit for stupid spelling error

Without Mods you can have one humanoid follower and one animal follower (dog) plus a horse.

Hi! Thanks for the tip. Having a dog reminds me of "Fallout 3" though. Hopefully, this time, he won't be left behind should I take a ride, like with that games steamboat and subway car. (According to the data, taking the steamboat seperates you from your dog for 6 months!) In this game, I don't want to leave my pets behind very long.

Hi! Is that all?! Hmm. I wouldn't have noticed since I have a mod that allows a lot more. Thanks for the tip!

Correct except for the "a horse", which is because you can have an unlimited amount of horses that you purchase or get from quests which makes for a total of 7 (5 from each major hold, shadowmere, and Frost. Correct me if I'm wrong), but only one will fast travel with you.

You can have more than one NPC follower ... people who join you for a given quest, usually just to have you escort them to another location, such as Esbern, Brother Verulus, Karliah. Instead of working on their quest, go do something else and they'll help out. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Followers#Quest_Followers

One problem is, your true follower and these extra quest followers will invariably get mad at each other due to friendly fire, and I've got to cast Harmony to stop them fighting each other. It helps to take all my follower's staffs away, to avoid their splash damage annoying the other follower.

Well if plan to play as thief followers just get in the way. Didnt like the fact the game forces you to have a follower on some quests.

Agreed, depending on your character's style, they can be a problem, especially pushy barking dogs. I prefer conjuring a couple atronachs and let them and my followers do the bulk of the fighting, especially when my permanent follower is equipped with the Sanguine Rose or a staff of zombies, to add even more allies.

Yup, I was wrong about the horse thing. As penance I will sit through the entire Talos rant from Heijmsker (?) the zealot in Whiterun.

Example: Lydia-follower #1.
-Start the Serana escort quest, just don't take her to the castle. follower #2.
- Buy a war dog or find meeko. follower #3
-Pick up the Deadric quest In Falkreath..Barbas is a talking dog (essential character to his quest, can't die.) follower #4 Just do not finish his quest, or he leaves.

It's Heimskr I think. Close enough to his name, but who really cares about him? He's usually always treated like this anyway: :csgogun: :csgohelmet:
