Sovngarde Word Wall? (Finally Answered) lol

Does anyone know any story or lore regarding the blocked word wall in Sovngarde? I've never been able to access it because it's blocked by rubble.

I didn't notice the word wall the first couple of times I played, on the third play I went a differant path and saw the wall. When I went up to it the face of the wall was covered in rubble and it would not activate. Same thing every play through since. Any suggestions?

Try, Verify Integrity of game cache, sounds like you are missing some game files

Lol a year late but you're confusing the wordwalls, there's one actually IN sovnguard (at the top of the hill) that cannot be accesed as it is covered with stones. The storm call word wall is before you entre sovnguard.

Zombiefied thread finally gets right answer. There is no working wordwall in Sovngarde.

Well that's a relief because I just read this thread and thought "oh no, that WAS a word wall" in Sovngarde.

It looked as if it was going to be one so maybe Bethesda changed their mind and left it in because they were too lazy to go back and remove it.

I just looked this up to see if there was any explanation (lore-wise) as to what the wall was doing there, and learned that Paarthurnax is played by the guy who voices Mario. As in, Super Mario. Blimey.

None at all, it was mentioned in a thread about the Sovngarde Word Wall which was even older than this one. (There doesn't appear to be any explanation, although plenty of fan theories, for the wall. Most appear to be along the lines of it was destroyed by Alduin or in order to somehow thwart him.)

You made me curious so I googled it, apparently there is another ruined word wall in the Soul Cairn. I haven't come across this one yet, am in this quest at the moment.

Ooh, I've never noticed that one, either, mind you, I usually run around the Soul Cairn getting more and more hopelessly lost, trying to find the nice horsie, then give up and go home... Can't get my bearings in that place at all!

I know what you mean. I ended up just following the blue wall until I got back to the starting point and then started quartering the centre. Even with the local map it's confusing.

Then I got curious about those strange designs in the circles so jumped in, black globs went everywhere then I found myself on the roof on the building fighting a black skeleton, at least that was novel.
