*I never quite got as far as finishing the MQ last time I did it, so I don't know if they have another opportunity to try and make you do it. Of course, you can just ignore their request, but I've read a couple of people mentioning that their game bugged and P died anyway, resulting in the Greybeards refusing to talk to them.
The Blades are monsterous sons of ****** that want to kill not only your friendly dragon buddy, but also your teacher of the Fire Breath shout!
This generation of gamers has no idea what it wants.
Yeah, ideally I'd like to have a 'no, there's no way I'm doing that' option with Delphine (even if there was a possibility to turn up later with 'I've changed my mind') but as it was I just decided that my character was suspicious of how she'd react to knowing who P was and avoided her. Hang the Blades.
Yes. And I also would like to see such a choice when it comes to becoming a Nightingale. Anyway, sorry for my gripe. I am probably just feeling cranky today. Didn't take my Metamucil and whatnot. I think it is time for Matlock and a nap.
Nah, it's legitimate, I think! (I wouldn't even have avoided her if I hadn't known there might be a bug if you leave P un-killed, which I suppose definitely counts as meta.) Enjoy your nap, maybe have a warm milky drink, too.
So very, very agreed.
As for the original question, there would be no way I would ever kill Paarthurnax, given any character morality. Delphine and Esbern do nothing but make demands and then insist that their (nonexistent until this point) assistance is dependent upon you killing an entity that actually has been helpful and is far more powerful? Even my most cynical self-serving jackass wouldn't opt for this. If the Blades are allbut extinct, it's because they went from a noble order of protectors to a bunch of dragon-obsessed psychopaths.
Yup. Basically all they can withold from me is some rubbish blessing thing without which I've successfully slain a bajillion dragons already, and I have the fancypants dragon-killing sword. I think I'll manage, thanks!
