Oblivion Walker Achievement Bug

So, I just completed all the daedric artifact quests and made sure that I didn't miss acquiring any of them, and yet after completing the last one, I didn't get the achievement. Yes, I used the oghma infinium already, but every guide I've seen says that using it will still count towards the 15 needed. Oblivion Walker was my second to last achievement I needed to 100% Skyrim. So I guess I'll never complete it?

I think if you run a unofficial texture pack it has problems with the Ring of Hircine quest, so I've read on these forums. Search for it on the board cos I'm sure there was a similiar thread about not being able to get the achievement.

I never installed any mods, actually. I was planning to 100% the game before ever trying any. And I'm level 75.

When you did the Hircine quest, did you get both the ring and the Savior's Hide? Next time around, get both. It's a glitch and only with both of those artifacts plus others do you get the Oblivion walker achievement. If you have, however, the unofficial patch, that particular glitch is fixed, but the Oblivion Walker achievement won't trigger.

It's good to play Vanilla straight through first, I did the same thing. Helped me really figure out what I wanted to fix about the game when I decided to add mods.

Level 75 is impressive. :)

I didn't get both, no. I didn't wanna feel like a jerk by sparing Sinding and then immediately killing him, haha. And that sucks! By that standard, nobody could normally get the achievement by normally playing through the quests.
And thanks, haha. You get really good at grinding exp when you want the Legend achievement. ;)

I believe when you hit level 78 you will be able to get your Achievement for KILL A LEGENDARY DRAGON when you finally get a chance to kill a legendary Dragon.

Yeah, I still plan on getting that achievement, but after this happened, I'm rather discouraged from playing.
I got the Savior's Hide. :/

Think of it as the Daedra playing tricks with you, which is more of a Clavicus Vile or Sheogorath thing rather than a Hircine thing, but I guess they all like their double crosses and tricks. I got lucky, I didn't do the TG, DB, or Dawnguard during my first playthrough, so I did another playthrough to get those questlines in, and that's the build that got Oblivion Walker.

Darn, wish I would of seen this thread before wasting all this time playing a character to just do the Daedric Artifacts.
Used the guide for it found here on Steam (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=151758634) and the wiki but no mention of needing the 2 for the achievement. And since it's considered an exploit, plus I'm a Companion werewolf, I didn't think of using it.

So, all that for...nothing...again! hehe

I say again because I bought the game on Xbox360 on release and tried for this achievement back then. Problem was that I could never get through all of them without one or two quests bugging out on me.

So...I'm quite frustrated with this as you can imagine.

ADD: With a slight chance of success, I gave myself the ring with the console command but of course it didn't work.

Yeah, that was my thought exactly. As a vampire, I saw absolutely no need for the ring of hircine, and honestly, when it came down to it, it was the morality card that stopped me from getting both the artifacts. NEVER thought that it would cause a problem like this. I give you my condolences. This entire affair is ridiculous.

Very ridiculous. I just finished 15th this morning. May not have tried so hard this character (or at all) had I known it was bugged. I got Ring of Hircine, so if you can get both, (which would give me 16/17, not sure Beth. can count lol) will that mean it will award the achievement? (Could always go in there and wack him still I guess?)... (Another bugged one is fully build all 3 houses, lot of ppl can't get that one, I'm one of them as well.... hate bugged achiev., especially since I wanted to 100% it).

I'm playing the Legendary Edition of Skyrim, lvl 50 right now. (I got the Legendary dragon kill last character, was anticlimactic, very easy kill- but I am very beastly with bows :) ).

I just jumped into the game and went back (after getting 15/ring hircine) and went to the grotto and killed Sinding and it gave me the hide, hircine appeared and congratulated me and the Oblivion Walker achievement awarded! This is a possible fix for those that got the ring first. :)
