permenent tresspass??
Anyone else had an issue with people in a shop always thinking you are tresspassing, be it day or night? The first time I went into the "white phial" shop it was as a tresspass... I left immediately, but ever since, the shop people always view me as tresspassing even when it shouldn't, and thus, I can't do any normal actions or quests with them...

Anyone know how to fix this?

There are no mods at all, except for the unofficial patches.

I tried paying off a fine of 2 gold after stealing 2 herbs in their shop. Still kept saying I'm not supposed to be in there.

Next I tried pacifying both of these guys... they were affected by the spell, taking on a green glow, but there was no help for the tresspassing issue.

Finally, I tried using the player.setrelationshiprank <RefID> <#>, and the other setrelationshiprank <RefID> <#>, both to value of 1 for aquantance, and 2 for confidant... neither change the responses of either shopkeeper.... still keep saying the same: not supposed to be in here message, with no other dialogue prompt of any sort.

Anyone know of any other way to fix this amazingly annoying issue?

(permenent tresspassing status is also confirmed when trying to rest inside the location. on screen text states you cannot rest while tresspassing)

-- I tried again, first waiting in hour increments to test daylight hours for possible oddly set shop hours to no avail.

Next, I tried again, stealing a 50gold value item from the shop, but after paying the fine of 25gold then returning to the shop, still perma tresspass... tried pickpocketing all their non-key/special quest items from their persons while not hidden, and they finally got mad again, this time going hostile, till I drew then sheathed my weapon... got a voice dialogue from the guy saying 'guard, tresspasser!' then after waiting a bit more, paid off that 30gold fine, and finally am no longer considered tresspassing. hurray.

I hope this helps others with this sort of issue.

FYI - just encountered this bug, but had easy fix ...

Go into shop during day (ie when open), thump owner (ie brawl / with no weapon) - just once and imediatly put away your fists (ie yield). For me at least this then started the normal dialogue etc!

Here's the actual answer for people who might still be playing Skyrim in 2019 and beyond:

-open the console
-type "player.setcellownership windhelmwhitephial" (without the quotation marks)

You now own The White Phial and you're no longer trespassing.
