Help with Transmute Ore Spell Tome
So I'm actually playing Skyrim on 360, not Steam, but I figured y'all are a reliable/resourceful crowd. So I'm looking for the Transmute Ore Spell tome, and I've already cleared and looted Ansilvund and Halted Stream Camp a while ago. I'm pretty sure that I sold both of the tomes like 30 levels ago, so they're long gone. I've seen though that if left for a few days (10 or 30 if cleared) dungeons should respawn everything in them due to the radiant system. However, both of these dungeons have respawned in their most recent iteration with everything EXCEPT for this spell tome. I've checked to see if I stowed it in a chest somewhere, but I've not found it yet. I'm in the process of checking to see if I left it with a follower. Also, on Xbox, so console commands do me no good.
Thanks in advance

Ansilvund has one I think so you could try getting it from there.

Edit:

NM lol you've already been there. Misread what you said.

I'm afraid (as far as I know, perhaps there are others who know better than me), that you may be SOL here. I don't think I've ever encountered items that were placed specificly respawning before.

Edit: Why would you sell that gold making, alteration leveling, smithing leveling awesomeness anyway? lol.

If youve already cleared ansilvund and halted stream, i think Tolfdir in the college of winterhold occasionally sells this tome (he's the alteration master)

It should have been on a table in the forge area near the wall in Halted stream. I have missed it a few times after playing several characters.

That's what I was thinking/worried about. I've also seen that it's a random chest loot item, so maybe I'll just go clear a ton of dungeons till I find it, cause it doesn't seem to be wanting to respawn for me.

What about Tolfdir? Not sure if he sells that spell tome or not but he might.

Meh, I didn't think I'd be playing this character for very long. Wasn't thinking for the long run.

I've checked Tolfdir because I read somewhere that he sells it after level 50 Alteration, but I've not seen him with it yet. He's also waiting for me outsdie Saarthal, so maybe I'll try finishing that and sending him back to the college before writing that off.

Halted Stream camp does respawn as far as i know, but the Transmute tome doesn't respawn with it. :/

You can purchase spelltomes from Tolfdir even when he's standing outside Saarthal. :)

Yeah, Halted stream camp, I just checked

I'm afraid you are out of luck if you sold that tome both times you found it, i have never seen that book sold by Tolfdir and Skyrim wiki says the same, only obtainable from Halted Stream Mine and Ansilvund

I am playing the game in PC, but I guess that storeowner should store all what you sold him/her. If you remember who you sold those books, then you might still be in luck and able to buy them back.
