Sounds kinda awesome , but hard to imagine for me :D
That said, the Elder Scrolls games aren't like the Fallout games; there's no definite ending, no cut scenes (at least, ones with a set camera angle, unless you count that one in the TG questline). You can play your character as long as you want. You'll notice in character builds on youtube btw, they often tell you what factions and questlines you should do with them. Normally players will come up with a character that's intended for specific quest lines or some other goal (like defeating the ebony warrior, unlocking all the achievements, making your character as op as you can without exploits, etc...), and then simply move on to another after they've achieved that goals for that character.
On that note, you'll also notice some people speculating on what happens to the main character after he's done with his story. Oddly enough, this was clearly laid out in the previous two games. In Morrowind your character travels to Akavir to continue their adventuring. In Oblivion, nothing is really specified in-game, but in Skyrim there's this one character that's implied to be the hero from Oblivion (I won't specific which one, for the sake of spoilers). Bethesda did eventually confirm that this npc is in fact the hero from Oblivion. Perhaps when ES6 comes out we'll be given a canonical ending for the Dragonborn's story. So far, all they've confirmed is that the truce you make during the quest 'Season Unending' is the canonical ending to Skyrim's civil war, even though it obviously is not in-game. And of course, it doesn't make any sense for there to be a truce in a war of succession; either the secessionists win or they don't, there's no middle ground. If you accept Season Unending as the canonical end, that means the Stormcloaks just agree to give up in exchange for the Empire letting Ulfric and his soldiers off the hook. I don't think much of Ulfric, don't get me wrong, but either way that doesn't look like a truce to me.
Oh, and on a funny note, its possible to set yourself up so that your character will canonically go to several different afterlives. You'll notice many people making jokes that there's going to be a huge dispute between multiple gods over who gets the Dragonborn's soul when he dies.
That said, sorry to dissapoint, but Skyrim has no true 'ending'. The various quest lines do have endings in their own right, so there's that, but there's nothing stopping you from completing literally every single quest in the game and then continue playing anyway. Well, other than that fact that the game isn't too interesting without a story. Radiant quests and dungeons get really boring after a while due to how repetitive they are. You'll notice that some of the most popular mods out there are quest mods. There's even a quest mod called 'Legacy of the Dragonborn' which lets you put all the items you collect (along with a huge number added by the mod) on display in a museum. You even get trophies for each of the major questlines in the game. It even has patches for DOZENS of mod quests you can also install, so you get trophies for doing those and can also display items those mods add too. Its quite a massive mod, and something you can easily build an entire play-through around, and one that will take you quite a while to complete too. And they're still adding more to it; right now the mod author is working on a new quest line tied to that museum that will have you touring all over Tamriel. Originally he was planning on having the mod tie into the Beyond Skyrim project, but he decided to do his own version of a 'Tamriel' mod due to how long the project's taking. A tragedy of this means it will be incompatible (at least from a narrative perspective) with the Beyond Skyrim project. Honestly, even right now the thing's possibly the biggest mod you can download, and its only going to get bigger in the future. Though keep in mind, these updates are being confined to the SE version, so the LE version is going to stay as-is. You'll notice btw that the SE version also got a major overhaul of the museum itself after the LE version stopped getting updates.
