then save up some money or go to a barrel you trust in and temporarily store your stuff in there.
or i can tell you a command which allows you to carry anything you want

Whiterun, In the companions building, in the "sleep chamber". I stored all that I needed there in a drawer. Never lost anything.

Who did you side with after the dragon attacks Helgen? Hadvar or the other guy?

Stick your stuff in one of the storage chests in their house, never lost anything.

Then go sell your dragon bones. Problem solved.

If you want to store items and don't have a home... well I would say definitally do some bounties, grabs tons of somewhat expensive loot and just sell it all off until you have enough for the breezehome in whiterun it's the best house in the game in my opinion just because its in the center of the map, nothing is too far away really as nothing is clear acrossed the map, just a good traveling distance.

But until then join up with the companions in Whiterun and they give you a bed to sleep in and next to said bed is a drawer you can store all your dragon bones/scales or whatever it is you want to store it in, safely.

I did this my first time playing and I didnt even buy a house until about level 30 or so simply because I didn't need one since I was with the companions, breeze home is still the best choice though and now I never go above level 15 before I have the breezehome as it isnt that hard to aquire so long as you sell off loot and snag all the gold you come acrossed.

I hope this helped some. :D:

dont bother saving dragon bones till you get higher lvl smithing, by the time you reach that point youll encounter lot more draggons and prob have few houses

There was this time where I went to Riverwood and saw guards casting fireballs and ice storms against a dragon, then I've realised they've taken my staffs from a container and had to steal them back.

I usually sell off all my dragonbones/scales before I buy/build a home. Though like what Spider said; Breezehome's gonna be your best house, not to mention you have to be the thane to progress through the Story, so that's even more coveniance. Only thing I do differently is I usually go invest and store my valuables in the Falkreath build-a-house around lvl35ish since it's still fairly centered and has what you need right there in your house (if you've spent time making it that is).

But that's really only if you have Heartfire in the first place.:musicnote:

Here is a list of safe places to store stuff:

A good spot to store things temporarily is that chest sitting in front of High Hrothgar. But try not to let them stay there any longer than 30 ingame days.
Another spot I've used was the ruins near the tower where you killed your first dragon. But exercise the same caution of ingame days.
