Friends like these quest wont start any help?

ive completed the innocence lost quest and got the "we know" letter off the courier and when i sleep i get kidanpped by astrid but all that happens after she finishes her kill for a kill speach is the quest never comes up and astrid will only ever say brother whether i kill a hostage or not and the hostages have the same basic speech as any other npc walking round

Once you've killed all the captives, you may not be able to interact with Astrid. She will simply just say "Brother" and you can't start a conversation with her.

Reload a save from before she told you to kill one of the captives.

Or

Open the console and type (stopquest DarkBrotherhood) and hit enter, then type (resetquest DarkBrotherhood) and hit enter.
