conjuring, is there a reason I can not summon anymore?
is there a reason it is so hard to summon? I shoot it off and it does not work. Sometimes it does but it is a pain in the butt? use to work great before, I think the patches or something went wrong, anyone else with this problem??

Make sure you're pointing at the ground, and on a spot where you can summon (your crosshairs should be red if you can't summon in that spot) and make sure there is enough roomf or your summon.

You didn't happen to take the spell absorption perk from the Alteration tree, did you? That has some unfortunate consequences when it comes to self-casted spells.

No I realize that I have put 100's of hours on this game. Just does not work. I shoot it off and nothing, I have to keep at it over and over and over then it works. Really sucks...

yes I did....started over made a elf decied to use the alteration tree absorb, and the anterotch or however you spell it, to make a magic absorb mage.

I've put a few thousand hours into the game and I've never heard of it. Are you using any mods?

If you point too far away, your spell will fail. Point at your feet, everything good.

well I have put in about 450 hrs and my last character was not a conjurer, but the one before that one was and it worked good....now this. Two Bears: what is this about the alteration tree problem??? I did get a new computer sense the last time I played the game. Video card is all the same though.

There's your problem. Absorb magic also affects self-cast spells. If your absorption is at 100% you will never be able to summon a creature. If it is less than that, you will only be able to summon randomly based on your absoption percentage.

I always point at my feet Wowzer, I understand that whole idea and how you can not summon far even though I do have one that is suppose to cast far. Some times it works so it is a pain in the butt. Even at my feet over and over and over....

Sure thing. It is a bug, however, not a feature. Restoration and alteration effects are not changed. The Unofficial Skyrim Patch fixes this to give you your summoned creatures back.

There is a mod on steam that fixes this issue. Its called Conjuration Absorption Fix. It will allow you to max out your absorption and still cast conjuration spells.
