Skyrim Lost to the Ages quest bug

I retrieved the 4 shards and when I get to the forge entrance Katria dosen't show up. I have deactivated mods and restarted the quest many times and nothing changes. The quest arrow is located under ground and it is like she is already at the forge but nothing I do opens the door in a way that will allow me to decend to the forge. Console commands haven't worked and I have tired to move her to me and move me to her. Her npc codes do not work in the Console. My next attempt would be to delete all local content and restart the game but I hope this isn't necessary.

Do you have a save that is previous to this quest? It may mean starting the quest again. Deactivating mods can be problematic if they contain scripts that alter the game in anyway. Just deactivating a mod is not always a cure/may lead to more problems. You need to do a clean save. There's some help on these forums somewhere (maybe on of the pinned topics) about making a clean save, I just can't put my finger on it right now.

Tried this and nothing happened. the response was "Not Found for parameter objectreferenceID" it is as if she is gone from the game.

prid xx006754 then enter...... xx is where Dawnguard is in your load order ...02...03 etc.

moveto player then enter



004D0C = Base ID
006754 = RefID

this didn't work either. Restarting game didn't work. removing many mods didn't work. Played the game many times without this problem but now nothing makes her appear at the forge site.

Er noclip into the forge and type the "setstage" command?
(Dont know exacly what it is)

What does "Er noclip" mean? Does that take me directly to the forge and bypass the fact that I am stuck above ground with no Katria to allow me to open up the lift?

play the quest without her, as you don't really need her to finish the quest, she'll show up by the time you forge one of the three things you can make

I meant er as in when your thinking of something
But other than that i believe typing in the right noclip and setstage commands should fix your bug/glitch

No actually just find the right "setstage" command to make katria be at the lift to the forge
I think the wiki will tell you the right "setstage" command

put the shards in the thing in the middle, watch the globe spin then take the shards out and run back to the stairs before tower rises

used "SetStage" commands and still no Katria and more importantly the tower doesn't rise until I leave and come back to the area. The tower has no lever to descend. Using tcl command allows me to go into the ground but there is nothing under the tower. Also even though the "SetStage" commands say that stage is complete the arrow markers all remain in place. Trying to go to Katria's location or bringing her to mine doesn't work as well. Is there a code that will take me directly to the forge area or how do I use tcl command to travel to it?

when you looted her body, do you remember if you got her journal or not. For some strange reason i am having the same problem as you, i never found her journal this time. The only thing i can think of to try, is for me to try installing the Unoffical Dawnguard Patch.

I got her journal each time I have attempted to restart the quest and get it to work. I have the unofficial dawnguard patch off of Nexus and it is not helping. I didn't have this problem when I had the old unofficial patches before Steam kicked them off the planet.

I am not running most of my mods and that doesn't help either. I am beginning to think the Dawnguard aspect of the game is corrupted and needs to be redownloaded.
