I don't have any mods that alter the castle directly (although I don't know if agent of righteous might does something to it). I will try the console command. Thanks in advance
Click on Serana so she is the highlighted RefID in the console.
Move yourself inside the caslte by typing in the console:
THANK YOU! IT WORKED!
coc dlc1vampirecastleguildhall
See infobox:
https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Volkihar_Keep
In the console type: coc dlc01vampirecastleguildhall
Do not forget that 0 before 1. Tlc didn't work for me, as I was unable to enter the guild hall and spawn its interior.
I firstly want to just advise anyone that the command "tcl" won't work ONLY if you clicked on any items in the game on your screen and then a RefID is currently highlighted on your command console, at the top of the shadow fragment. So, if you just want to just pass through the gate, just check if nothing is highlighted in the console, then write "tcl" and go on.
BUT, if you want to do what the quest would need to do for you, indeed unlocking the gate, just open up the console, click on the iron gate, make sure the RefID is highlighted, and then write "disable". That will make the gate disappear and you should go fine with that.
I don't really know if there are bad consequences to this, stating that you are disabling an object in the enitre game, but it worked good for me.
