Cannot fast travel from dungeons?
On my first dungeon from the Golden Claw quest, and I apparently cannot fast travel to town. Does this mean I have to retrace the whole thing to the entrance?

Found it. A lot of things in this game are not intuitive or obvious. I wish there were some blinking signs or something that ensures that I know where to go. But then it may be that I am an idiot - or at least a babe who needs to be hand-held everywhere! ;)

yep sucks I know but this has always been the case, you can only use fast travel when outside and when you are not carrying so much you can only walk. However in 98% of dungeons there is always a short cut from the end room that takes you right back out to the front door. remember those doors where it says "barred from the other side" or strange rock doors you can not find a switch to? Yep those are the doors that are the "hidden" short cuts from the end of the dungeons.

Usually, candles will show a lever that might be hidden. But not always. You

After a while of dungon crawling, finding the exit becomes easier. You just have to be perceptive.

Anyone else remember creating loads of Feather Spells on Oblivion, so you could clear the dungeons bit by bit, before the very long run back out to the beginning? If only i'd been able to "legendary" Alteration back then... :)
Just be sure to have your current quest the only one active in the journal - the quest markers are pretty clear then. Failing that - pick up a spell from Farengar, the court wizard in Whiterun, called Clairvoyance[www.uesp.net]. Creates a highlighted path for a few seconds showing which way to go. Could help train Illusion as well.

Yeah I thought of all the spells this one was wanky, but I have come to appreciate it muchly

Like identifying ingredients etc, identifying exits and other features becomes easier the more you do it

I like it that unfamiliar places/features are not neonlit, just as my preference for immersion
