Where to find ingredients to make fortify smithing potions in Requiem?
I know in the manual it said most of the materials needed to make potions have been changed but are there any recipes to make ably smithing potions?

'fortify <crafting skill>' doesn't exist in requiem. Neither as potion nor as enchantment

Oh... I see, thank you

BTW do you know how to unlock the legendary smith perk in smithing?

It should tell you down the bottom left of the Skill Perk tree screen which key to press to go legendary. It was the SPACE bar in my game.

Just rermember that if you do make a skill legendary, your skill level will drop down to 15 while releasing all the perks, so you will have to practise your smithing again to make decent armour and weapons.

I think it works differently in Requiem, the perks get reset but the level stays at 100. My lockpicking is at 99, so I can fairly easily check, give me a minute.

O.O Oops. I don't have Requiem. Sorry about that, I just looked at post 2. <abashed grimace>

Heh, it's either early or late, right?

Okay, so, my lockpicking is now at 100 and, indeed, I cannot find any mechanism for making the skill legendary (space bar does nothing, no indication of how to do it.) A bit of googling shows that ogerboss (I think) was being said to have wanted to remove the legendary reset altogether but couldn't find a way to do it, and I can't find any recent posts that talk about the legendary reset, so I would guess either he found a way to remove it altogether, or he found a way to hide it so the player can't access it (or possibly can't easily access it.)

Which version of Requiem are you playing with? I believe Skyrimnut is playing with 1.7.something and I am fairly sure she's mentioned having the option to make skills legendary (and possibly got some special benefit from doing so??) I am running 1.8.2 and I can't - so I'd guess that if you're running 1.8.2 or 1.9 (and possibly 1.8/1.8.1) this is ogerboss having figured out how to do the thing.

If you want to be sure, the best thing is probably to ask on the Requiem Nexus page's posts tab - ogerboss is really helpful and generally answers pretty quickly. Helps if you include your version number and any other pertinent details in the question.

And JUST as I hit send on that post and went back to the game/Skills menu, I see that it now has "space - legendary" visible. That definitely wasn't there before, I swear...

Okay, I had a bit of a play with the console (and toggled off the "crafting books required" thing in the MCM) and set my smithing to 100 after legendarying locksmithing so I had some 'real' perks to play with. Without the books being required, I was able to put in perks anywhere* except legendary smithing. Then I made smithing legendary, and when I put perks into the basic smithing perk, the one directly above it, and the one above it and to the left, I was *then* able to put the last perk point I had into legendary blacksmith. HOWEVER, assuming you have got the 'books required' thing active, you may also need to obtain a book (I tried toggling it back on and the perk was still available but IDK if that change is 'sticky'). I can't find any info either way.

*well, so long as I was going up in a chain, same as normal! I couldn't just stick them in Daedric without having the perks below that
