This is not a troll, i have arachnophobia myself, and i wanted to know that others wouldn't have the same problem i did.

My sister has arachnophobia, and her solution to seeing spiders in Skyrim works like this:

"AAAGGGHHHH! SPIDER!!! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!" Then spending five frantic minutes hacking the corpse until she's convinced it's dead. If only she put in that much effort in real life I wouldn't have had to kill so many tiny spiders growing up.

I've just never experienced the depiction of a thing that scares me actually scaring me - generally the real item needs to be present to kick that into effect. Blows my mind a little that a depiction can cause a real reaction in some people. Like, if I drew a spider on a napkin, would it freak you out as the real thing?

LOL, I don't like spiders either BUT, that's the fun of the game... getting scared out of your wits when one falls on you from above. When you see the webs is a good sign that one or several are ahead of you. Love being scared out of my wits.... lol

As pointed out by others there are mods to replace spiders. use them instead of this solution.
Why?
because there are alot more spiders. you would be set stages left and right to avoid any contact. Plus by skipping Bleakfalls Barrow you leave Lucan whining about his golden claw and won't be able to steal it back from him. That is the kind of person I am.
You would have to add the items manually that you would miss. not to mention possible relation ranks and added factions. Oh my, this is not a good solution at all.

I can sort of relate to her. The first time I played I proceeded to kill the spider in Bleakfalls Barrow. I was pretty sure anyways as it collapsed. I proceed to move close to check its inventory when it was identified as a wounded spider. OH NO! it's only wounded?
I then backed off and emptied my Flame spell into the corpse of the spider. when it still didn't move I moved back in. It was dead all along and was simply named Wounded Spider.
BTW- Older siblings are supposed to be there to protect against the creep crawlies, bullies and the general bad things of life. good job.
