This is a nice and easy tutorial for it. 4 Steps. Download Xbox360 accessory driver, download ScpServer itself, plug the controller in, then install ScpServer and you are all set.
Most games will let you choose between keyboard and gamepad. Others will automatically detect the controller, it you decide you don't want to play with it then just unplug it. I personally do not use a controller for skyrim as I have too many hotkeys set up thanks to mods.
