AFT and interesting NPCs
Yes I have the AFT compatibility patch for INPC. Im trying to get two followers included with the interesting npcs mod. Right now I have swamp knight following me around and im trying to get Lajjan to follow me. I also have indigo and illa following me but since INPC followers have their own system you can only have 1 from the mod. What happens is I ask Lajjan to follow me she says yes but swamp knight leaves my service I go to talk to swamp knight to get her back then Lajjan leaves. Also im not getting the "now managing with AFT" in the top right as I do with normal followers so that must mean AFT isn't working for them right. I have told everyone to leave then restarted AFT and even started a new game trying to get swamp knight and jade but it still dose not work.

The AFT patch for 3DNPC is old and out of date as far as I know.
AFT is not compatable with 3DNPCs and is prone to breaking them especially if you have multiple followers.
If you want multiple 3DNPC followers I suggest using EFF and the patch for that instead

What if I downloaded an older version of Inpc so it will work with aft?

Do not download old versions of mods. Old versions are likely to be buggier or have additional problems or compatability issues compared to newer versions and no one will be able to provide troubleshooting for them,

I'd try searching nexus and 3dnpc. Hopefully a search will tell you if it definitely can't be done or it can be.

Just try another multiple follower mod. I use Simple Multiple Followers and haven't ever had any real troubles, at least as of the last time I played. Haven't played Skyrim in a bit, as I'm waiting to finish my new PC so I can play on higher graphics settings and download a few mods I've been holding off on.

No need. the AFT incompatability and listing of the bugs it can cause and how badly it can break the mod is listed on the 3DNPC website. That website does mention a patch but as I said, the patch is now out of date.

Is it possible to have that with AFT? I would get rid of AFT but I have about 9 characters and 7 of them use followers with AFT id have to do about an hour or 2s worth of work just dismising everyone and getting all their loot

Dont use Aft on any other follower then those are from vanilla skyrim.

Do as Nazenn and other tells you, kick AFT out.
But you must stop it first, you have one book in your inventory that tells you how you should do it.
Aft is to old to work whit most followers from intressting people, it breaks Vilja to.

You cannot use two follower mods at once, they will conflict with each other majorly and I stryonly recommend AGAINST uninstalling AFT in the middle of a game.
There is no such thing as a clean save in Skyrim, thats only a safety precaution if you absolutely must remove something, and AFT is particularly unfriendly to being installed despite its removal procedure.

But I need to update my post, you can still have AFT installed, but you cant use it on anyother follower then those who are from normal Skyrim DLC:s included.

Since it will break the follower.

Often when modders do one follower they include their own follower system.
Vilja have one, Sofia, Arissa, Indigo and so on. They all have their own system.
Intressting people have one that is why you cant have 2 from Intressting people following you they all share the same.

If you have tried to add one follower from the ones I have writed. You need to reset it, send them away. How you do it is in the book.

And as Nazenn says it is one pain to remove.
And no clean save.
I did use AFT before and it only did make trouble.
