How to aim better in archery?
This isn't about perks like zoom or what not, just how to increase my skill with aiming on the bow? Like I know some tips cross over from FPS games and such, but anything in specific you can tell me so I can shoot better?

Well, one thing I've seen is that at long ranges, there is a firing arc, so sometimes to might have to aim higher than you target if you want to hit from far away. Second, your character's skill will only go up if you land shots on enemies, so I would reccomend the area around Riverwood if you want to improve archery. Bandits and wild beasts are abundant in that area.

Also if a target is moving and your not using a modded archery system you need to lead your target and stuff as well.

Stand still. Take time. Use the slowdown perk. Practice on Dragons. And Have a high defensive location for these things. :D
The farther away a target is, the higher over their head you have to aim. To be honest, that judgement takes practice. I know how high to aim at almost any distance. But I spend countless hours practicing my archery to learn it. Just as an fyi, at somewhat close ranges you actually need to aim low. Aim for their crotch and hit their chest.

Archery from horseback, now there's a challenge! :D

Like others have said, lead your target when in motion, and arc, (archery), your arrows into their targets. Sneak skill goes very well with archery.

As stardustfire said, south west(maybe east) of falkreath is woman named angi. she'll give you 4 archery lessons, and then challenges for them. if you pass all 4, you'll actually gain 6 free archery levels. If you just want to practice shooting, you can go there as well and just practice on the targets. One of her challenges is hitting all 4 in like 8 seconds (not standard targets either, small black posts with little target on top). Once you can do that, you'll have no problem with archery, except maybe leading a target.

I myself prefer a crossbow (dawnguard dlc) because the bolts fly much faster, but the crossbows take longer to reload (not too bad witht he quick draw perk though).

The best training for archery in this game is actually in another game - Play any of the Stalker series games and use the Vintorez sniper rifle. I've found that the ballistics of that gun in that game are pretty close to what I've found with bows in this one.
