FIXED SOMEHOW: Favor254/Become Thane of Eastmarch not starting (Post Civil War)
I have Hjerim (Neutral Hjerim mod), but neither the quest nor the dialogue option shows up, so I can't become Thane. Any way to force my being thane? I already tried setstage favor254 10 as well as completequest favor254, and reloading from earlier saves before Battle for Windhelm, but nothing.

Are you Stormcloak or Imperial? If Imperial, you'll need to do the favour quest for the new Jarl as that will be reset. Do you have version 1.03 installed as it suggests you couldn't become thane before that version?

Ended up Imperial, bought house as neutral, as the mod intended. I can complete the Help the people of Eastmarch objective, but only with console commands. It doesn't help nor does it trigger the Return to Brunwulf objective. I have the latest Skyrim version from Steam D:

Do you have any other favour quests active at the moment? Such as for another Jarl, or to recruit Anneke, or any other? You can only have one active favour quest at any one time so you'd need to complete that before Brunwulf would offer his own favour quest.

I completed Markarth's favor for Rer... whatever his name is, for that reason. I'll check off my other objectives just in case. I'm not sure which is for which jarl's so I might as well get them done anyway. Do the College of Winterhold quests count as favors too? Like the Falmer tomes quest for Urag?

Doesn't look like Urag's quest is a favour quest from the wiki's at least. One's for Brelyna and co probably are as it opens them as followers.

Checked, don't have any follower quests. I just have finding the Quill of Germination for Maven, but Valdr is dead, and I have detected that whenever I turn it in, when I go outside of Riften's palace the game immediately crashes. Brunwulf still won't give me the thing.

It... it's fixed. I just went to the jarls of Dawnstar, Winterhold and Windhelm and they made me a thane. I didn't even do any missions. I just continued to add rooms and furnishings to my Hearthfire houses.

I have no fu**ing idea what happened.
