Merida's Beacon
Are there ways to fix the falling to your death glitch without mods? Can it be fixed somehow on console as well?

I would just use the console command tcl before you hit the ground to break your fall and use it again to turn it off. Otherwise I know of no fix.

"tcl" is the only console command I use regularly. It just won't break my save file like using some other commands have a tendency to do.

I have completed this quest 5 times and never had a problem and often wondered what others were doing to get dropped.

There has been quite a debate about this and it's been discussed that if you walk closer to Merida and do not look up you survive.

Dont look up or down when you are up there. Agree whit Roscaria here.
And you can also install The Unoffical Patch.

Just curious, does tgm stop you from dying?
SpeedFreak1972 Jun 30, 2015 @ 4:13am
yes tgm is really god mode

tgm = Toggle God Mode

Just for clarity, like. :)

Ive never fallen there in 4 times doing it... odd to hear about, and curious if I can trigger it somehow.... have no patches or mods running at all.

Thank you all. I will try out the suggestions and see witch one works best. On a side note does anyone know how it might be fixed on xbox360 as well without having to put mods on it?
You can't fix the console version of TES:V

Oh okay. Oh well. Thankyou

While "technically" you can't fix the glitch in Xbox. You can transfer over your save to the PC, go into the game fix the bug and move the save back to the Xbox.

Sorry to bother you cfs111, but how might I transfer the save? And could I just continue to play it with no problems on the laptop from now on rather than an xbox? It's much more easier to carry around a laptop than it is a console.
