So I own Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Hearthfire. I am looking to upgrade and decorate my mansion. The only thing I'm missing is 'Large Antlers x2' I know you get them from elk. But one thing. Where are the elk? I checked some forums and turns out they're near whiterun and usually hang out with deer. When I do a 360 loop around whiterun I only find deer. I play on PS3 if you must know. Try travelling due west of Whiterun toward Rorikstad. Out on the plain there is lots of game.

Go there to find who might have it, also "There is a 50% chance that any male deer, elk, or the White Stag will drop large antlers, in addition to venison and deer hide."

Just run around killing everything with antlers. Sooner or later you'll come across, and kill, an elk.

*Voice of the Gods* Kill Everything! Kill more! Go further! Seriously, antlers seem not to be that common a drop (at least at first, in my experience), so give it a good long go of hunting!

For home building I ended up being Goat hunter for a while... could never find the horns in stores untill I didn't need them.
