Stuck in 1.8.151.0
I just bought Skyrim : Legendery on Steam and was hoping to play it with some nice mods, but my version of Skyrim is stuck in 1.8.151.0 and SKSE requires 1.9 to work. Any idea why this is and how to fix?

That's impossible, the LE version requires and installs Skyrim 1.9 by default.
Not to mention, STEAM only installs the most updated version of Skyrim [or any game] by default [v 1.9]

Have you got all 3 dlc's downloaded as well as the skyrim base game, and what mods did install after you installed skyrim

TiltedDomino : Yes, it is quite ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Thanks for the info.
Shocks . DO : It's apparently possible. Although I may or may not have pirated the game beforehand in order to try it out before I bought it. That may be the cause.
Kelvy : Uhm... maybe?
Beef Hammer : Tried that, doesn't seem to work. Thanks, though.
jaderive : All 3 DLCS, no mods. I can't download any mods at 1.8.151.0

If you got the old game still remove entirely, only use the new skyrim download.

Aye, I removed all the old game files.

So I take it the game is working. Please put [SOLVED] to header

Yes, the game is working. However, it's still stuck in 1.8.151.0

Check your data and see if skyrim update is tick or is there. You have to put LOOT on because I think the first two won't show in data because you are in game but loot will show it.

• Skyrim.esm
• Update.esm (This is the ESM I am looking for) this patch should upgrade it
• Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp
• Dawnguard.esm
• Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp
• HearthFires.esm
• Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp
• Dragonborn.esm
• Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp
• HighResTexturePack01.esp
• HighResTexturePack02.esp
• HighResTexturePack03.esp
• Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp

This is the basic for main game you must have and in this order.

I don't have any of the ''Unofficial'' patches, nor any of the HighResTexturePacks. However, I have everything else.

Those are a must well at least the 4 patches for the main game and DLCs.
Before you do anything google Loot
LOOT: Home
loot.github.io/
Load order optimisation for Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas ... The Load Order Optimisation Tool (LOOT) can help with that, by providing .

Little window click and drag to make bigger then click 'sort plugins' list comes up, then APPLY and summary will show, now click on DETAILS and list will show all what you have in game. Look for Update.esm under Skyrim.esm. I want to know if that is there.
