Enchant gear for sneak effectiveness
Hello,

I've seen some Hide Armor, Hide Gauntlets and Hide Boots in the Adrianne Avenicci shop that has some "Sneak bonus" on it.
I couldn't buy it but now that I have the money they're gone.

How do you put modifiers like that on your gear ? I've searched "Skyrim sneak enchant" but didn't find anything :$

In order to enchant an item with a given property (e.g. 'fortify sneak') you need first to have an item with that enchantment and take it to an enchanting table, where you can disenchant it. This will destroy the item, but you learn the enchantment and can then put it on other items, using a soul gem. Two caveats: some items (like the Dark Brotherhood gear) cannot be disenchanted, and you will need to work on your enchantment skill before you can make something as good as you can find (but eventually you will be able to make stuff far more powerful than anything you can find, assuming you get your enchanting skill high enough and use perk points on it).

E.g. if you have an item that fortifies sneak 15% and you destroy it, then go to make another item with fortify sneak, if you've never done any enchantment before and you try to use a soul gem filled with a petty soul, you'll probably only get fortify sneak 1%. With a grand soul gem and low enchanting/no perks you will maybe get around 8%. But as your enchanting improves and you invest perks, you'll eventually be able to make MUCH stronger enchantments.

Thanks gnewna !

I could learn how to Fortify sneak but yeah it's 1% since I'm a newbie in enchanting :P

I've been trying to reset Adrianne Avenicci since like 1hour but I could never find again the Hide set she sells, it was like +30% sneak for each piece.. Guess I'll stick with my 1% for now ! :squirtyay:

Keep in mind that no matter how powerful an item is, you only learn the base enchantment. Also, boost Alchemy, painfully boring, but you craft fortify smithing and fortify enchanting potions, then put alchemy enchantments on helmet, gauntlets, necklace and ring, craft more potions, craft smithing armor, gauntlets, necklace and ring,........see where I'm going with this? keep repeating this and eventually you'll be able to craft very powerful stuff.
hahaha i cant believe people stil actually use this boring enchant/alchemy/BS mechanics... oh god its a nightmare of boredom.

Try to find a Muffle-enchantment. The one you make is better then the one you find, regardless of skill or soulgem.
