Is my stuff safe when upgrading my house?
Another Hearthfire question. That chest I mentioned, I need a place to store my crap to keep my load down (obvious).
Now I read on the wiki, that chests of this area are safe, yet I've downloaded plenty of house mods in my past, and they all say how you should remove everything in the house before you uninstall that you want to keep, which makes sense.

I wonder if the same would come true, leaving my stuff in the chest in the basic house (or the chest that has construction stuff in it), that it will be safe if/when I upgrade the house.
What I'm trying to say, which chest is more safe for my stuff? Or am I better off throwing my stuff in a chest inside a random dungeon, hearing they're safe?

It should be safe in the basic house chest. Mods only tell you to remove them because when you remove the mod, it erases all the data including the chests associated with it. In the official dlc, it's usually pretty streamlined and reliable.

it should be perfectly safe, i don't recall my stuff ever disappearing when upgrading.

this reminds me about if they ever fixed the bugged solitude mansion in vanilla skyrim.

I didn't lose anything from my house chest when I upgraded Lakeview Manor (Hearthfire) basic home to the full manor. Should be safe.
