West of Falkreath mystery
There's a large area West of Falkreath, that has a road leading into it, but when I try to take that road I can't and it says I can't go that way. What's that all about?

Hmnn... Strangely, I have two OP's open on this post. So, there was/is an expansion pack called Hammerfell? It can't be the edge of the world, coz it has a made road into it.

No there is no expansion pack. But if my memory serves - the way to Hammerfell is that way ... I could be wrong of course.

And yes - its the edge of the world.

bBorderRegionsEnabled=0 under [general] in your skyrim.ini will allow you to explore this strange new land..

Do it, go find the White Gold Tower.

some of the landscape is unfinished and you may fall thru the ground etc. since it was never designed to be explored

the OP may not know about those commands

There's one near Riften, too, pretty sure. It's just an empty road into "nowhere" that just stops you at an invisible wall. Unless it was fixed at one point. That's where I found one anyway. I'm sure it was just possible roads to other areas they planned on adding at a later date, and they just left them open like that, rather than wall them off like in the Unique Border Gates mod mentioned in the other thread.

Thanx all. Malak, you're right, I didn't know about those commands, are they console? On the other hand, some of my trippier game experiences have come from falling thru maps! :)
Ebon, it's somewhat ironic I think, that Bethesda, a company known for their 'open world' games, just dump in an invisible wall !?! :) When I first played the Fallouts, I found that if you zig zagged up the really steep mountains, you could often get over them! I still use that technique occasionaly in Skyrim. :)

yes, console. no clip & god mode

Thanx Malak. :)
