Can't purchase bedroom furnishings (Fixed)
Speaking to Proventus Avenicci I can buy everything but bedroom furnishings. When I talking to him and selecting the bedroom furnishing option, he says his lines, that it will be there, but the money is not taken from me nor does the house contain the bedroom.

What can I do? I have already uninstalled the unofficial dawnguard patch, reloaded etc.
Is there a console command I could try maybe?

Thanks.

If you havnt defeted the dragon and the jarls had said he will alow you to purchase property it wont let you buy the bedroom, bt as you found out you can buy the house before then - weird huh

I'd try:
1. Leave the cell (which can be quite large) so do something in a different hold..fast travel.
2. sleep while away.
3. Get arrested for a petty crime and do a short stint in jail.
4. Return to the hold after 30 in-game days have passed

1,2,3,4 might work because they sometimes reset scripts and have worked in many cases to resolve small glitches like yours.

5. Revert to an earlier save.

Well I have already done 1 and 2.
If I could store my stuff I would get arrested.... but I will try it.

I don't really want to do 5 since I already reverted (I had the problem with the alchemy station but I fixed it later by reinstalling the dawnguard unoffical patch.)

I might try killing him and when resurrecting him.
Thanks.

Not much to bumb. This is a known glitch and only way to avoid it - as far as I know - is to load an earlier save.

You have to understand, that bugged scripts have already active effects in your current save. There is very little we can do to change that.

You could make a extra save - to prevent things from going even worse - and try to add furnishings with console. I am unsure what command would do this, but ID can be found from here.

Alright, I did go back to an earilier save and it was the same, still glitched (this was when I first noticed the problem).

I hear the Dragon Born never sleeps anyway, why would he need a bedroom?

Wait. You had removed the Unofficial Dawnguard patch? I read first that you had installed it.

Dawnguard was the DLC that created the problems with Breezehome. Unofficial Dawnguad Patch had fixes for that. Who ever told you to unistall that patch did not have your best interest in mind.

Please read the "Bugs" section from the page that I linked to verify that.

I am unsure what to do. You could try that disable/enable routine for bedroom, but it might not work in this case. Worth to try.

Edit: Nope, sorry. Unofficial Dawnguard Patch only affected to Alchemy table. I remembered wrong, but did not suspect it, before writing it up. Sorry about that.

Try the following console commands:

prid c6e3a
enable
prid e4ecb
disable

it basically does what the purchase script does, enables the bedroom furnishings. Let us know what happens. This a strange one, alchemy lab not appearing is a Dawnguard bug but bedroom... never heard of that one.

I am very happy to say that this worked, the bedroom funishings are there and Proventus Avenicci's dialog is fixed. (he now says I purchested everything)
Thank you, now the Dragon Born can finally rest.

I'm trying to get the children's bedroom for breezehome. Whenever I select to buy it, proventus says it's bought but the money isn't taken and there's no child's room

That nearly always boils down to load order problems revolving around Hearthfires. Any housing mods which try to add Hearthfire support, for example, or badly ordered DLC, or the unofficial patch in the wrong place...
