Edit: UP didn't fix it. I am raging. :(
If you follow the link to the wiki - you'll be able to find a page on console commands and what they do. You'll also be able to follow the Companions quest line thru its pages & figure out what stage you are stuck at. Then you can use the console to skip it ahead and see if that gets things rolling again.
I could spell it all out for you - but then you wont really have learnt how to deal with it the next time something like this happens, will ya?
I guess I will just live without the companions then. They stink anyways.
No need for raging ... although they do kinda stink :)
But if you told them how to do it then they would learn how to deal with it for next time. And they'd have a guide to help them if they forget a step
