Can't join the College of Winterhold

I'm trying to join the College of Winterhold. When I meet Faralda on the she tells me that "I don't have adequate skills." and that "I need to be able to cast apprentice level spells." I do have apprentice level spells that I can cast. I've heard that I need to have at least 25 in a magic skill, but that can't be true since I have 41 in Conjuration. I've looked all over and couldn't find anything, and please don't give me the "Use a Dragon Shout" answer, because I'm not far enough in the storyline and I plan to use mostly magic, so I don't want to rush through it. UPDATE: Please read the whole thing before commenting. A lot of you don't seem to understand the problem.

Well you normally can buy the spell from her... however I find the simplest way to join during the main quest just say you're dragonborn and use whirlwind sprint or clear skies.

I said I didn't want the "Use a Dragon Shout" response for reasons I've explained in the post.

You can just buy the spell needed off feralda .... If you don't have the spell an option should appear mind you she asks for a specific spell. never ever had troubles (did both ways(shouts and normal)) in my 600+ hours

Yep. She names the spell that she needs you to cast. She even tells you where to cast it. She will sell this spell, if you do not have it.

It this is not the case, then there might be a bug or a mod conflict in your game. Are you using any mods that affect the college or winterhold?

She never told me to do a spell. I asked her if I could go in, she asked what I was looking for inside, I said the "Unravel the mysteries of Aetherius" answer, I said I'd take the test, and she said my skills were inadequate.

I'm using Midas Magic Spells for Skyrim, but all that adds is a small spell crafting station in the Midden. I don't see how this could be a glitch.

My problem is different then yours. You've lost the NPC, mine just seems to have a condition I need to meet that nobody knew existed.

I can't find the source of this bug, except that your current Magica might not be enough to satisfy the spell she requires for you to cast.

Have you used any of your level ups to magica, or do you suffer from any diseases that affect to it?

I answers are yes and no, then you might want to verify the integrity of your game cache.

You keep avoiding my questions from magica and your character condition. I made that question for spesific reasons, because you would need about 135 points of magica.

Sorry, but I do not have time to play guessing games today.

I'm sorry I'm just annoyed. I just really don't think a bug could create a new piece of dialog.
