Official Skyrim using a crack?
I just bought Skyrim legendary edition a few hours ago and installed it. On the first launch, an error message popped up with the name of a very popular cracking group. Is the Skyrim from Steam using ripped off cracks?

I hate myself for not taking a screenshot or remembering the exact name of the crack group, i'll probably try and reinstall the game and hope to see it again...

No, I purchased from Steam and downloaded nothing else than what steam made me download. This is making me insane, I know what i've seen. I tried reinstalling but it didn't give me that error message again. From what I remember, it was a blank pop-up warning window, with only a title which was the name of the cracking group. I think it was Skidrow or Reloaded.

I will purge everything and re-download it, I swear I'm going to make that error message pop up again and i'll screenshot it.

Please if anyone else seen it, comment!

My computer is clean and was recently formatted.
I can't be the only person to have seen that message window upon the first installation. Hopefully i'll manage to make it pop-up again.

Low-level format using the manufacturer's software or just using the OS? Ever remove a rootkit?

It wouldn't matter in this case but for your information, using the OS.
I deleted the partition and made a new one, I understand it's just overwriting it but it's standard procedure.

Ah, no it isn't. Returning a drive to factory specs is "Best Practices".
