Sometimes turning it off and on again really does work!
That's my standard method of diagnosis. It works most of the time for me. If that still doesn't help try changing vdeo settings. It's all trial and error my friend.
I'm having the same issue. Didn't find anything related to this online. The 360 controller setting was enabled on default tho, but i disabled it and the result is still the same. the mouse is still not working. M=RAT9, KB=DEATHSTALKER
get their names by googling "Skyrim .ini files"
delete appcache
get location by googling "Skyrim appcache location"
validate cache >> Library >> Games>> right-click Skyrim >>Properties >> Local files >> verify cache
one file will fail to validate and that is normal. It will be generated when you launch Skyrim.
It works now.
Not sure whether it was what you suggested or because i restarted steam.
But thanks nevertheless!
