Steward dialogue won't open!!!!!

So I've just gotten my house built and got my steward. Now I have everything built on the outside of my house, but my steward's options to furnish the inside won't open up and I can't get him to do anything outside of follow me on my adventures!!! Anyone able to help me out here?! This is really frustrating as I can't finish my home!!!!

Well, I don't know how to help you with his dialgoue not showing...maybe go to another cell wait a few in game days and come back??? But I will say I've found it quicker to get the materials and furnish my house myself cause I've waited up to 2 months in game and all the money I gave my steward he must have pocketed cause I never got any furnishings. Just a heads up that you might have that happen once you do get dialogue working.

yes you can finish your home, but you will have to do it yourself by crafting everything you want. A steward takes longer and does it over time

i can do the furnishing. but what about getting the bard and cows and stuff. Ya know the stuff i can't except through him?

you say he is your follower; did you actually made him as steward ? The housecarl you get for your home have to be asked to become one. Most any other follower will do as well. Some of them even ask to become a steward when directed to your home.

That's what I said you can furnish the house yourself but to get his dialogue back you may need to leave that cell for a few in game days. You don't have to go far to leave a cell but I typically go to a seperate hold just to be sure I give the area time to reset. Just make him stay at your home and hopefully his dialgoue will reset.

And like Grathagis said you may want to make sure you took him to your Hearthfire house and asked him to be your steward.

he asked me to become steward. It's marcurio and he always asks. i've just never had this issue with him before

Try the going somewhere else and waiting thing. Letting the cell reset is all it takes sometimes. If that doesn't fix it I'll have to think harder haha
