Hadvar keeps following me around in Whiterun after Battle for Windhelm *Spoilers*
EDIT: Fixed the problem.

After winning the Civil War for the Empire I fast traveled to Whiterun. But out of the blue Hadvar runs up to me with his sword drawn and just press himself up against me. I can't get him to leave me alone and I'm on the edge of using the console and Disable him out of the game forever.

What I have tried:
-Push up against him, save, and re-load. (Does completely nothing)
-Go to the Inn at Riverwood. (He just sits down, but follows me back to Whiterun)
-Kill him using non-cheat methods. (Essential NPC and therefore can't be killed)

Does he follow you after you do some time for a crime?

Bugs

Hadvar can get stuck following you after Battle for Windhelm, The Battle for Whiterun, or another late Imperial quest. (He appears whenever you enter Whiterun but seems not to follow you outside of the city and Dragonsreach.) When you talk to him he says various things, such as "Glad you're here."

A solution is to save a game while standing right next to him in Windhelm or Whiterun, close the game, and then load from that saved game.

Another fix is to complete Honor Thy Family by attacking a Dark Brotherhood Initiate at the Dawnstar Sanctuary and paying a fine to Nazir.

When he is following in Whiterun, and you enter and leave a house, he may attack you. The reason is unknown. ?

You can also use the console to disable Hadvar.

How do you disable him? I got the problem too

Heck I hope i dont get this hadvar glitch, as after doing a couple dark brotherhood quests, I think nazir was a target of 3 i had to kill o.o ;p
Had the same glitch after the battle at Windhelm.

As above, push against him and then hit F5 (default quicksave), then exit the game and re-open and load.
He sheathed and walked away from me straight away after this, took 20seconds.
I attacked him until it gave me the bounty, then paid it off. He appears to be gone, now.

If pushing up against him don't work, like mine, just fus ro dah and knock him down. He won't die from it, but do the quick save thing and it should work perfectly.
I had that glitch once and for me was the answer save the game exit and load the last save.
The quicksave worked for me. after i tried to kill him, let him go to riverwood, finding him after the battle in Windhelm and trying to trick him into jail.
