Skyrim save file xbox 360 to pc HELP!!!

Need help, cant play my xbox 360 file save on PC Skyrim. I've done everything right in regards to transferring the save over and renaming it .ess to work for pc.

The problem is the versions of the games are different,

Updates/version:

360 version is 1.9.31.08
PC version is 1.9.32.08

Both the highest updates i can get. I cant find anyway to either update the 360 version to 1.9.32.08 or downgrade the PC version to 1.9.31.08!

Please help, i've only just bought skyrim for the fact that i thought id be able to transfer my save over from the xbox to the PC.

you used modio to do all this right not just copying over files renaming that doesn't work. here is a youtube video on how to do it

you're welcome i moved my saves from Borderlands 1 to the PC a few years ago and had to learn how to do this myself. atleast now there are videos on how to do it with pretty much any game for the 360.

this is late.. but i have the same, I just bought skyrim for pc, for that reason, both seem to be updated as there are no update possibilities given to me. And i guess by now there wouldnt be any new ones. I did use modio to get the files but trying to load my game I get the same error many get, that it says this was an outdated save, the one version 0 and the other version 9, I really dont get why. Ive read in forums people were saying modio is simply ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Both xbox and pc version have all the add ons. Im pretty desperate I really want to continue the game on pc and ive spent many many hours on it so far. I just want to be able to play with mods and all that and I´m frustrated if it won´t ever work that I bought it for pc in first place after informing me it would work..

You didn't follow the steps correctly; trying to have the game load the EXS file throws the version error. You need to extract the DAT file out of it (using Modio) and rename that to ESS.

When I do this I get the message 'Unhandled exception has occurred in your application'. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I've got the latest .NET Framework and even tried running as an administrator which was recommended but I cannot fix this issue.

I did all the information that it told me to. I went through Modio and tried a handful of times it still wouldnt let me no matter what i did. i even paused the video multiple times while doing what he said. help please
