bug in the quest speaking with silence

i dont know if yoyu can fx teleport him but mercer just stay in the middle of the theifes guild and dosent go to the dungeon

- Reload a save, prior of entering the guild.
- If that does not work, then inpsect your load order.
- If that does not work, verify integrity of your game files.

From memory I don't think he physically travels there but is scripted to show up once you arrive.

I assumed that travelling to Snow Veil Sanctum was already tired.

Stand next to him at the guild, open the console and click on him to get his refID, travel to Snow Veil Sanctum, open the console and type: moveto player

And if he just stands there, type: resetai

This would be very unlikely to work, because it is not about just for Mercer, but the whole cell is reset before Dragonborn arrives. For example, Mercer should "slay" the horse, before Dragonborn enters the area.

Oh in that case try 'getstage tg05', what stage does it report? I believe it should be stage 10 before you arrive judging by the UESP page. If it isn't stage 10 try 'setstage tg05 10'.

I'd highly recommend making a new save before doing this.
