Xbox 360 Controller sprinting issue

So, I recently bought a xbox controller with an adapter for pc, and I wished to play skyrim with it, but I can't sprint while using the controller.
Yes, I set up different buttons to see if it would work, it did not.
Yes, I do have inventory room, I'm not overloaded.
No, I am not crouching.
I do have a fairly ammount of mods, are they the reason of said problem? If so, is there a mod (lol irony) that could fix it?

The left front button just above the left front trigger works for me.

what changes you made to button mapping defaults works fine for everyone left bumper is for sprinting wile pushing left stick

Go into ingame menu > System > Controls

map whatever button you want

adapter? lol just go to miscrosoft and download the drivers and it works flawlessly..even vibrates and lights up..i go the rumble one that lights up blue and i can set how i want it fo flash its pretty cool

the default button is LB (the one above left trigger), and it does not make me sprint.
I've mapped others buttons to do so, i.e. I've set "A" to do so (hence it is certainly working, it's not the controller's fault), but still I could not sprint
and the 'adapter' I've referred to it's a wireless thingy that I do not know the correct name xD

I'm having the same issue. Have you found a fix? I'm using two mods that effect movement speeds of pc and npcs. Everything works fine on keyboard, but no sprinting using Xbox controller.

I've seen people commenting that mods might possibly cause that problem, but no one has yet confirmed it for me

I'm assuming that's the case, but I would rather find a workaround than to uninstall the mods that I'm using. I haven't figured out which mod it might be, but it's probably gonna be one of the movement speed mods, or script packages like FNIS or SKSE. But that's just my guess.

same for me. the button to sprint on my controller will not work no matter what button i map it to.

A dude on Nexus said it's 'cos of the Same Walk and Run Speed mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9553).
So sprinting with a gamepad dosen't work on both - lite and full - versions of this mod.

thanks Athene! it was exactly that mod that was causing the trouble, I just unisntalled it and now it works fine!

Found it (sorry for necroing) but even after the mods, i double-pressed LB and it sprinted. you could also just bind clicking LS key to sprint. Very handy

I’m having the same issues but I don’t have any mods installed. Most of my keybinds in the menu when I turn on my controller are gone
