Also, not sure why your price is going down, any enchantment you put on an unenchanted weapon or armour or whatever should raise its value, not much on low levels but it should be worth more when you sell it.
30 seconds means 30 seconds real time not Skyrim time. If it were Skyrim game time your would have 1 and a half seconds to do everything which doesn't sound right. 1 second of real time = 20 seconds in Skyrim time.
Do you mean you first enchant an item, then drink the potion (which is not the right way of using it), and the already existing enchanted item temporarily becomes worse ? If yes, that is probably a bug, but it does not look like something that would cause real problems. I did notice that enchanted items actually get slightly cheaper as my enchanting skill increases, which may also be a bug.
I enter the enchanter, I pick the item, enchantment and gem, then I don't do anything except LOOK at what the stats would be if I pressed R and created the item. Then I exit the enchanter, drink the potion, re-enter the enchanter and enchant the item. And the item ends up with either: A) lower stats and lower price, OR B) same stats and lower price than it said on the first look.
And yes, my skills are around 30 or something in that vicinity.
Doesn't sound right to me. If i craft an iron dagger its value is something like 20 coin say, go to the enchanter, use a petty soul gem with say frost damage enchantment, the value should go up. If you use an enchanment potion aswell it should go up even more. So i don't know why the value of the item is going down. Maybe a bug because its not supposed to go down.
I just did some smithing too. It seemed to make no difference whether or not I wore my ring of 9% smithing and necklace of 9% smithing. They say that improvements will be 9% stronger, but when I improved items, they came out identical with and without wearing the smithing apparrel.
For the enchanting problem, if you can -
1) Craft an iron dagger and make a note of its damage and value
2) Craft an iron dagger and using a petty soul gem add a frost or fire enchantment on it and note its damage and value
3) Craft an iron dagger and using a petty soul gem and a potion of fortify enchantment add the same frost or fire enchantment on it and note its damage and value
If the value and damage for the iron daggers doesn't increase from step 1 to 3 after you've done that then you've got some sort of glitch or bug.
Craft 2 of the same item (iron dagger would be easiest) and enchant 1 with an enchantment - What does the value say for both.
Not sure what you'e talking about. I have never done any modding. Not sure what you're talking about "the game you undid," I don't remember ever "undoing" a game, whatever that is, and I'm not sure what the save tool is, but when I google it, at a glance it looks like something for xbox. I'm playing on a PC.
Barney, good idea. I'll do that later today.
