Good hair mods for Skyrim?
Before you recommend it to me: No, I don't want to use Apachii hair. It looks god awful.

Now that we've got that out of the way, I'm looking for some good hair mods.
I've looked into SG Hair, but I can't seem to find a download anywhere. One that works, at least.
It really sucks because while I love some of the vanilla (but with improved textures), it can't hurt to have some nice haircuts, including some more varying ones that also allow me to make the hair bright white.

I realize Apachii hair has a lot of hairstyles, but the way it looks just makes me cringe at how much it breaks my immersion.

Anyone using any hair mods that actually DO look somewhat realistic, (mostly) lore friendly, and just good in general?

Ponytail Hairstyles by Azar?

Available from steam workshop too.

But it doesn't have many hairstyles and they're very similar to each other.

While that mod would work, and looks kinda nice, I don't have much use for big ponytails like that since my characters usually wear hoods.

i havent tried it myself:
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52516/?
it adds hair with physics
when i am done with my current game i will try it :D
If you wish to sometimes hide your hood/helmet I would suggest http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22765/? helmet toggle for that.

Also Lovely Hairstyles CE seems lorefriendly too.

While this is useful, I have my own way of taking care of that.

EDIT: Going to give Lovely Hairstyles a try. It looks nice!

I'm really happy with Superior Lore Friendly Hair, it doesn't add any new styles (unfortunately) but it makes the vanilla ones look SO much nicer, while not looking at all out of place. First time I loaded it I went through Helgen for the first time in a while, and I was genuinely standing by the cart admiring Hadvar's lovely hair.

I'm using this too, and I've had the exact same thing.
Apachii hair makes females look like male crossdressers.

i just had a quick look at the animated hair mod, looks and works great.
i started a new game to make i work, not sure if it works on an existing character
Its not exactly a hair mod but thought it worth a mention : http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28147/?

I've resorted to using CE Lovely Hairstyles and Lore Friendly Hairstyles, and for now it'll do. Thanks for the recommendations everyone!

It ought not cause trouble if installed on an existing game.

Rule of thumb is that it's dangerous to uninstall mods on an existing save, but rarely if ever dangerous to install them for the first time, unless it's a mechanics overhaul like Requiem or something that's tied to a lot of quests like Civil War Overhaul.

There is a mod on the Workshop called Radio Reggie's (hope I spelled the name right) Hair Workshop which I subscribed to. It adds more hairstyles for characters, and is a standalone mod that can work alongside Ponytail Hairstyles by Azar 2, Lovely Hairstyles CE, and Keki's Pastal Hair Colors II (all of which I also use in addition to the Hair Workshop mod).
