A Daedric bow unless you craft a dragonbone bow.

For highest damage per shot, the dragonbone bow. However, that's not the only thing to consider. The weight of the bow affects fire rate, and high damage bows tend to be the heaviest bows. Against a swarm of weak enemies, you may prefer a lighter bow that lets you pull off more shots in less time. Deardric is pretty good, especially if you upgrade it via the smithing skill and enchant it.

Also, other then Dragonbone bows, there is Ebony and nightingale, but I am not sure if those are vanila or not as I purchased my game already with all the DLCs (expansions).

Ebony is slightly better then Deardric and Nightingale is best that I have seen so far.

A Daedric bow is the most powerful in vanilla skyrim. (highest damage output). As seeker2k said, do not underestimate enhancing with good blacksmithing and enchanting skills, though this is the same advice for any weapon/armour.

No, daedric is ebony infused with an eternal tortured daedric soul, so its better than ebony.

nithingale is a special bow from a quest. If you dont use mods, then the level you do the quest will determine how good the bow is.

A self-enchanted daedric bow is probably still better.



You can buy dawnguard, it has a cool bow from its storyline.

Dragonbone bow is the best bow in skyrim in terms of damage but that requires the dawnguard dlc. The daedric bow is the best bow in vanilla skyrim followed by the nightingale bow which is obtained late in the thieves guild questline.

Daedric bow is the best vanilla bow. The Nightingale bow was underwhelming compared to a maxed out Daedric bow.

If you include mods, there could be other bows that are comparable or better than the Daedric bow -- no promises.

Actually the best bow in my opinion is Zephyr it has very decent damage output and fires 30% faster than a normal bow.

Yes thats a good bow but hes talking about vanilla skyrim zephyr you need the dawnguard dlc to obtain

I think i can do the quest for nightingale bow on vanilla since im on that quest now.

Anyway i have a question about the bow,

will i get the bow's level from the level i am by doing the quest, or if i do the quest at early lvls, and then grow in lvls later in game (with bow in inventory) will the bow also grow stronger as i lvl up?
