Stuck walking slowly... But wait, there's more!
So, I'm stuck walking very slowly. I have tried EVERYTHING and researched EVERYWHERE, but I have been unable to figure out what the hell is going on. Here is everything I have tried:

I do not have any mods installed
I am not over encumbered
I have not cast any spells, nor have I had any spells cast upon me, that would make me slow
It is not the caps lock (I made sure that was the first thing I checked)
I have tried toggling sneak on and off multiple times
I have tried the console command "TCL" that has been suggested
I have tried restarting from a previous save

I just got the Dawnguard expansion, and this slow walking problem began after that.

I have no idea what to do at this point. I have now spent hours researching how to fix this problem, and I am at the point where I want to set my computer on fire.

Any help or advise would be much appreciated, thank you!

is this even on a new character unmodded? all the way through the intro scene?
have you deleted mods that may have caused it?even ones that are totally unrelated or could have any bearing?

There's a "toggle run" key, which will make you move as if you were holding down shift to walk slowly. I think it's bound to c by default, or caps lock, or something.

Haven't checked to see if this is happening with any other character. I'm kind of fixated on this one right now. I will check and see though.

@Coppermantis - It's the caps lock, and I already tried that.

Ah, I missed that. So, what happens if you try to sprint?

So, I checked with another character, everything seems to work fine.

I can't sprint or jump or anything like that.

I am completely at a loss.

are you stuck in a sneak stance? i hope not if you are or even not try to sit in a chair

No, not stuck in sneak stance. I did figure out, though, that I move normally for short periods of time if I sheath and unsheath my weapon a couple times... But seriously, I don't want to have to do this while in battle lol

im at a loss because the game is acting like you are over encumbered. iv been looking for anything 2 help and i see nothing to help you

I really appreciate your help. :) But yeah, I've been looking online too, and there is virtually nothing, except "you must be over encumbered" or "you turned off auto run".

Hey Dust Bunny, that happens to me all the time. Have you (and this may sound like a dumb question) tried logging out and restarting your computer? Once I start walking in slow motion, that's the ONLY thing that will reset it. Pleeeaase don't set your computer on fire...

TCL? Not familiar with it but you can also try TGM (Toggle God Mode). God Mode might only be a fix while it's enabled, though.

Can you fast travel? Being Over Encumbered disallows fast traveling, so if you can still fast travel then that should completely eliminate any bugs for being over encumbered; narrowing the list of possibilities.

Thanks dovesbells! I have tried restarting my whole computer, but that didn't help. I promise I won't set my computer on fire.... yet... :) What do you think it is that is causing this problem?

Redrum, I guess TCL is "toggle collision" and lets you fly and walk through walls and stuff. One of the forums I was reading through suggested that if you are moving slow, maybe it is because the game thinks you've "sunk" into the terrain. Or something like that, I guess. I can fast travel no problem.

Ok dunno if I've missed it - did you go back to previous save? How was it there?
