ENB has ruined my Skyrim and i can't get rid of it. HELP!!!
I tried to install RealVision ENB to make my Skyrim look nice as I wanted to pick the game up again and play Dawnguard and Dragonborn. I have installed it correctly up the bit with SkyrimPrefs.ini (I couldn't do the last steps and my computer had hidden files in program settings). I then tried to rid of ENB, but it is like superglue. I have tried deleting all ENB named files but it still lingers. I have the ENB info text at the top left screen on the start menu and in game it says about pressing shift space for editor and something about hardware and AA/disabling certain options. I am sick of it and want to clear my system of ENB and try again making it work with a different one with all my files working. Is there a way to completely wipe all Skyrim related things off my PC and steam? I don't care about starting again with my saves.

Cheers :D

right click skyrim in library->delete local files
or ->properties->local files->delete local files

This will delete everything except the ENB files though. Don't ask me why, but Steam is apparently too retarded to remove everything under the skyrim folder when uninstalling. You'll have to then go inside the Skyrim folder and delete the files manually, but at least they will be the only things remaining.

ENBs aren't like "normal mods", always check the what the mod author says about ininstalling (Well, actually... you should really do that with any mod):

"To uninstall RealVision files simply start RV_uninstall.vbs, but do this before you deactivate RealVision in NMM, Wrye or MO!"

Really not that difficult actually.

You MAY have to get rid of d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe manually.

But yeah, if you want a clean re-install, you'll have to uninstall it first. After first installation, create a backup via steam, so you don't have to re-download it the next time you want to clean your files.

download the game again, then make it a .rar o.zip file
use winrar or 7zip for this.

this is what i do, others may have different suggestions

I have copied the whole skyrim main folder to a separate disk

How would i download it again if it is already on Steam?
Can someone post a step by step?

Sorry to be a pain, but i am completely new to this

if you deleted the content via steam, you can only choose to install the game again.
its selfexplanationary

Last I checked, isn't there a boolean in the ENB's config (Usually in Steamapps/Common/Skyrim) that disables its effects completely?

Assuming you haven't already uninstalled all your mods and deleted Skyrim, it could save you some trouble to look into this before doing anything drastic.
