"A Daedra's Best Friend" Crash

Hello,

Always when i try to finish this quest my game just cut's off and im back at my desktop. I guess the issue is a mod, but which one? Does anyone have a clue?

mod created followers have been known to cause this so you could try updating any follower mods you have or deactivate them temporarily.

Okay i'm having this problem now too, everytime when im just about to finish the quest it just crashes and i don't have a single mod so i dont know whats causing it

Try to repair the game cache. Maybe it will work for you. It didn't work for me, so i had to re-install everything.

You say when you try to finish the quest it crashes, but when is that? Can you provide more details of what is happening right before it crashes?

The last time i tried it was literally when the statue was just about to finish talking.
I had returned the axe and not killed the dog and just when the 'quest complete' text appeared it crashed.

Well what is supposed to happen at that point is you are given a reward, but it is crashing instead. Maybe there is a problem with the script that gives you the reward or something wrong with the item itself.

The only thing I can suggest is to deactivate a few mods at a time and check if the problem is caused by a mod. Make sure you make a hard save to reload later before deactivating any mods.

You do not need to uninstall mods, just uncheck the ESP files a few at a time and try to narrow down the problem to a specific mod if any.
