character clipping issue

ok so i was walking around and next thing i know i started walking in the air and i can't seem to fix it. no i didn't do any special commands either. i tried loading a save nothing. i tried to quit then restart nothing. any ideas how to fix it? i even fast traveled thinking it might help.

First, try reloading a previous save. If that doesn't work, open the console and type "tcl". If it says "Collision Enabled" (or something like that) then something might have turned it on or you forgot about it.

alright i actually don't use the console to do things. let me try the save console command then if not ill do the save.

Can happen if some animations are interrupted for whatever reason. Are NPCs also affected? 'TCL' toggles clipping so it might be worth seeing if using that fixes it. It tells you if it's toggling on or off in the console anyway.

Generally, at least from what I've heard, it's best to use the console as sparingly as possible, so it's good you don't use it. If it still doesn't work, could you post your load order?

ok so i looked and the collison was off. so i turned it on then off nothing. tried a past save then that had the same issue. so now im lost on what to do. i guess i can try to verify cache see if that works.
