Perfect Touch Perk - Can I Reequip NPC?

When I give an NPC clothing whose value and/or armor rating is higher than the one they're currently wearing, or when I take all of their clothes and give them something else, will they equip what I gave them eventually?

Sort of, when you change cell and come back in they will usually have put on whatever you gave them, however it's kinda pot luck as to whether they're still wearing it next time you see them, if there's been a cell reset they're probably back in their regular gear, just in time for a vampire attack...

Outfits can be funny. If the NPC (most do) uses a defined 'outfit', getting them to re-dress can be a faff. They'll pretty much ignore enchants and decide whether to wear it based on base values (armour type/rating). You can get around it by using either a follower mod (AFT or UFO for eg), or forcing items onto them via the console.
